CEDAR BLUFF, Va —
Mrs. Sybil “Tiny” Rose Hankins, age 77, of the Baptist Valley section of Cedar Bluff, Virginia, passed away Sunday, January 6, 2013 in a Richlands, Virginia hospital.
She was born in Kentucky and was the daughter of the late Fred and Alice Gibson Ward. Mrs. Hankins was a homemaker and a member of the Cliffield Christian Church at Cliffield, Virginia. She was a lifelong resident of the Baptist Valley area.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death her husband, Troy Hankins Jr.; one sister, Maxie Paige and one brother, Freddie Ward.
Her survivors are: One sister: Sue Rasnake and husband, “Bo” of North Tazewell, Virginia; three brothers: Raymond Ward and wife, Anna Rae of McDowell, Kentucky, Donnie Ward of Columbus, Ohio, Ronnie Ward and wife, Sharon of Columbus, Ohio; two sisters-in-law: Jamie Ward of Columbus, Ohio, Betty Looney of Baptist Valley, Virginia; one brother-in-law: Delmar Paige of McDowell, Kentucky; special caregivers: Mary Whitt and Grace Mitchell
Funeral services for Mrs. Sybil “Tiny” Rose Hankins will be conducted Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Chapel in Tazewell, Virginia with Pastor Chris White and Pastor Mike Harrison officiating. Interment will follow at Hankins Cemetery in Baptist Valley, Virginia near Cedar Bluff, Virginia. Pallbearers will be: Wayne Cochran, Troy Rasnake, Kevin Delp, Lonnie Davis, Wendell Hall, Dave Eggleston, Jeff Ward and Kenneth Earls. Visitation will be from 12:00 noon-2:00 Tuesday afternoon at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Home in Tazewell, Virginia.
