BLAND, Va. —
Ruth Elaine (Lusk) Krondon, age 82, of 221 Dismal Creek Road, Bland, Va., passed away on Saturday, December 29, 2012 at her home.
Born on November 6, 1930 in Rock, she was a daughter of the late Roy Erman and Josephine Alma Mullin Lusk. She had been a resident of Bland for 12 years and was a homemaker.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frankie Krondon; and two brothers, Cecil and Ray Lusk.
Survivors include: Children: Roger Krondon and wife Doris of Cape Coral, Fla., Priscilla Hedrick and husband Dave of Troutville, Va., Alan Krondon and wife Pam of Simmons, W.Va., Beverley Atwell and husband John of Bland, Va.; grandchildren: Kellie Krondon, Jennifer Krondon, Michael Hedrick and wife Rhonda, Michelle Hatter and husband Bob, Rusty Krondon and wife Desiree, Shawn Krondon and wife Sara, Zachary Neal, Cari Neal, Megan Atwell, Michaela Atwell; great-grandchildren: Carla Spangler, Michaela and Baleigh Hedrick, Shiane Warner, Cameron, Grayson, and Wyatt Hatter; great-great-grandchild: Cainen Hatter; sister: Cathalene Parsell of Princeton.
Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at 8:00 p.m. at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Minister Jack Johnson officiating. Friends may call, prior to services, from 6:00-8:00 at the funeral home.
Graveside services will be conducted on Thursday, January 3, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton with Michael Hedrick, Rusty and Shawn Krondon, Zachary Neal, Bob Hatter, and Mark Parsell serving as pallbearers. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home on Thursday at 10:00 a.m.
