PRINCETON —
Lucille F. Bolton, 88, of the Old Pisgah Road in Princeton, died Saturday, December 29, 2012, at Princeton Community Hospital. Born in Athens, April 15, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Watson B. and Rowena E. Dobbins Martin.
Lucille was a graduate of Athens High School and was a faithful member of Johnston Chapel Baptist Church in Princeton. She was a former employee of the Celanese Corporation in Narrows, Va. and Maidenform, Inc. in Princeton. However, Lucille would be the first to tell you her most important job in life was that of taking care of her family. For sixty-two years, she was a loving and supportive wife to her late husband, Frederick “Fred” Bolton who died June 22, 2011. She offered that same love and support to her sons and their wives, daughter and her husband, grandchildren and spouses, great-grandchildren and her many friends. She will be missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her parents and her husband, one sister, Anna Page Meadows and three brothers, Waldo B. Martin, Bernard W. Martin and Wilde M. Martin preceded her in death.
Survivors include one daughter, Lois Ann Braun and her husband Rick; two sons, David Andrew Bolton and his wife Sandra and Daniel Keith “Danny” Bolton and his wife Cathy all of Princeton; four grandchildren, Amy Marie Belcher and her husband Jason, Jennifer N. Collis and her husband Travis, Michael Andrew Bolton and Jeffrey Neil Bolton and his wife Aimee; seven great-grandchildren, Jenna Belcher, Brooke Belcher, Jake Belcher, Mason Bolton, Blake Bolton, Gavin Bolton and Luke Collis; and three very special caregivers, Pearl Akers, Debbie Small and Mary Farley.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 31, 2012, at Johnston Chapel Baptist Church in Princeton with the Rev. John King and the Rev. Jerry Martin officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton. Pallbearers will be Leonard Beckett ll, Darrell Presley, Don Reed, Bob Worrell, John Ziggelkow, Roger Cox and Harold Winfrey.
Friends may call at Johnston Chapel Baptist Church from 12:00 noon to the service hour on Monday.
