PRINCETON —
Emmett Lee Harry, 86, of the Clover Dew Dairy Road, Princeton, died late Monday evening, Feb. 20, 2012 at the Princeton Health Care Facility in Princeton.
Born Jan. 20, 1926, in Princeton, he was the son of the late John Erastus Harry and Audien Elizabeth Gillespie Harry.
Mr. Harry was a veteran of World War II serving with the U.S. Navy. For many years, Mr. Harry was an iron worker, working with high steel and was a welder. He was a member of the Iron Workers Union. Mr. Harry was a member of the Ada Chapel Church. While his health permitted, he enjoyed fishing and doing upholstering.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Mary Frances Dowell Harry; his only child and his wife, Steven Lee and Vickie Harry of Princeton; two grandsons, Justin Lee Harry and Travis Lee Harry.
Funeral services will be held 7:00 p.m. Thursday from the Burns Wornal Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton with Pastor Eddie Mabe officiating. Graveside services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton.
Friends may visit with the family Thursday from 5:00 p.m. until the service hour at the funeral home. Online condolence may be shared via www.memorialfd.com
Serving as pallbearers will be Larry and Jerry Wimmer, Mike French, Larry Tabor, Justin and Travis Harry.
