BISHOP, Va. —
James W. “Tommy” Hall, age 76, of Crockett's Cove in Bishop, Va., died Friday, Sept. 21, 2012 at his home. Born July 8, 1936 at Crockett's Cove in Bishop, Va., he was a son of the late Gus and Lola Mae Rasnake Hall. He loved his grandsons and loved farming.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Elizabeth “Betty” Holmes Hall; and son-in-law, Steve Lyons.
He is survived by one daughter, Nancy Hall Lyons of Richlands, Va.; three sisters, Dorothy J. Farley and husband, Jerry, of Bishop, Va., Betty Pruett and husband, Don, of Collinsville, Va., and Norma Hankins and husband, Bill, of Wytheville, Va.; one brother, Danny Hall and wife, Wilma, of Bristol, Va.; two grandsons, Stephen Hayden Lyons and Grayson Hunter Lyons; special nephews, Scottie Farley, Michael A. Farley, Matthew Keene, Michael J. Farley, and Joshua Hodge; special nieces, Melanie Keene, Courtney Hodge and Michelle Farley; special aunt, Delphia Rasnake of Crockett's Cove in Bishop, Va.; special caregivers, Sylvia Farmer and the staff of Helping Hands Hospice at Claypool Hill, Va.
Graveside services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 23, 2012 at Maplewood Cemetery in Tazewell, Va. with the Reverend Ted Anders officiating. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
