BLUEFIELD — Lola Zula Boyd, 95, of the Maples in Bluefield, formerly of Maple Acres, died Wednesday, March 17, 2010, at her residence. Born September 23, 1914, in Zenith, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Elmer Lake Brown and Blanch Raines Brown. She was a homemaker and the last surviving member of her immediate family. In addition to her parents, her first husband, Elmer W. Boyd; her second husband, Dexter Boyd; and one daughter, Iva June Wickline preceded her in death. Survivors include two sons, Earnest L. Boyd and wife Carol of Zephyr Hills, Fla., and James N. Boyd and wife Marjorie of Salem, Va.; ten grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 20, 2010, at the George W. Seaver Chapel of Seaver Funeral Home in Princeton with the Reverend Tony Reed officiating. Burial will follow at the Bradley Cemetery in Lindside, W.Va. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Friday, March 19, 2010 (today).
