BLUEFIELD —
Mary Kathleen “Kackie” Shrader, age 82, of Littlesburg Road, Bluefield, W.Va., passed away on Thursday, February 28, 2013 at the Westwood Center in Bluefield, Va.
Born on April 3, 1930 in Montcalm, she was a daughter of the late Clifford H. and Mary Fagg Lynch. She had been a resident of Littlesburg for over 60 years and was a member of the New Salem United Methodist Church where she was a Sunday School teacher, a choir member and belonged to the Women's Groups. She was retired from Belk Dept. Store. Kackie was loved by all who knew her and returned that love unconditionally. Her God and her family were her passions in life.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Oren P. Shrader; and a brother, Marshall Lynch.
Survivors include: Larry and Brenda Mitchem of Bluefield, who she considered her “kids” and who were by her side holding her hands as she “flew to Jesus”; brother: Cecil Lynch and wife Shelby of Lilburn, Ga.; sisters: Louise Lynch Mitchem of Princeton Sue Lynch Dove and husband Don of Kernersville, N.C. Many nieces and nephews whom she dearly loved.
Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, March 4, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with the Rev. Mike Smith and the Rev. Brad Puckett officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton where Chris Mitchem, Mark Lynch, Brendan Lynch, Jim Simpson, John Barnett, Clifford Mitchem, Randy Dove and Garland Lusk will serve as pallbearers.
Friends may call on Sunday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
