BANDY, Va. —
Mary Edna Bandy, age 63, of Bandy, Virginia, passed away Thursday, February 28, 2013 in Tazewell, Virginia, following a lengthy illness.
She was born in Richlands, Virginia to the late Mack Gillespie Bandy Sr. and Rebecca Jane Payne Bandy. She was a loving daughter, sister and aunt. Mary was of the Protestant faith and was a lifetime resident of the Tazewell County area.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Connie Bandy and Dora Pruess.
Those who carry on after her: Brother, Mack Bandy Jr. of Bandy, Virginia; nephew, Troy Pruess. She is also survived by several cousins and a host of friends.
Funeral services for Mary Edna Bandy will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 3, 2013 at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Home in Richlands, Virginia with the Rev. Charlie McGlothlin officiating. Interment will follow at the Greenhills Memory Gardens in Claypool Hill, Virginia. Relatives and friends will serve as pallbearers.
The Bandy family will receive friends from 6-9 p.m. Saturday evening at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Home in Richlands, Virginia.
