Dakota became a little Angel on Feb. 22, 2013 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital. He was born Feb. 21, 2013.
He was preceded in death by great-grandpa, David Jackson Hall and grandpa, Rick Franklin.
His survivors are his loving parents, Jackie Nicole Nelson and Dakota Lynn Franklin of Bluefield, W.Va.; grandparents, Melissa Hall and Tracy Nelson of Bluefield, W.Va., Bridgette and Jim Shaver of Bluefield, W.Va.; great-grandparents, Bonita Hall of Bluefield, W.Va., Lucy and Jimmy Wimmer of Bluefield, W.Va., Janice and James Shaver of Bluefield, W.Va.; great-great-grandmothers, Nell Wright of Bluefield, W.Va. and Ruth Shaver of Bluefield, W.Va.; uncles, Tracy Nelson Jr. of Bluefield, W.Va., Eric Hall of Nashville, Tenn., Stephen Shaver of Bluefield, W.Va.; aunt, Danielle Shaver of Bluefield, W.Va.; great-uncles, William Hall and Amy of Rock, W.Va., Tucker Nelson of Bluefield, W.Va.; great-aunts, Gale and Sheila Franklin and Shellie Nelson of Bluefield, W.Va.; and lots of other family and friends including the staff at Roanoke Memorial Hospital.
Graveside services will be held Monday, Feb. 25, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at the Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton with Pastor Barry Wright officiating.
Dudley Memorial Mortuary in Bluefield, Va. is serving the Dakota Jackson (Nelson) Franklin family.
