LASHMEET —
Eddie Wayne Harmon Sr., 57, of Lashmeet, died Sunday, October 14, 2012 at Raleigh General Hospital in Beckley. Born February 2, 1955 in Princeton, he was the son of the late James A. Harman and Josephine J. Odle Harman.
Eddie spent time working as a coal miner in his earlier years. More recently he helped people as a mechanic from his private garage. Eddie loved animals, especially his pet Chihuahua, Tucker.
He is survived by his companion of 22 years, Brenda Jackson; children, Eddie Harmon Jr. and Tara of Princeton, Jennifer Talerico and John of Christiansburg, Va., Lisa Shultz and Jerry of Clarksburg and Larry Harmon of Lake Shawnee; three brothers, Dewey Harman and Delores of Lashmeet, Johnny Harman and Jenny of Lashmeet and Marty Harman and Alena of Matoaka; and several grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 17, 2012 at the Rowland Bailey Funeral Chapel of the Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home in Princeton with the Rev. Larry Dyer officiating. Interment will follow at the O'Dell Cemetery at Lamar, near Matoaka. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Friends may visit at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until the service hour on Wednesday, October 17.
