CHARLOTTE, N.C. —
Alan Coffey, 54, of Charlotte, died on March 6, 2013. He was born on August 25, 1958 in Welch, W.Va.
Alan graduated from Welch High School and Anderson University in Anderson, Ind. He worked for Duke Energy for 33 years. Alan enjoyed music and was part of the Duke Energy Chorus as well as a soloist at his church.
Alan is survived by his parents, Arnold and Joyce Coffey of Bluefield, W.Va.; his brother, Roger Coffey of Charlotte and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his daughter, Pam Coffey.
The family will receive friends on Monday, March 11 from noon until 1:00 p.m. at McEwen Pineville Chapel, 10500 Park Rd., Charlotte, NC 28210 followed by a 1:00 p.m. funeral service. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn East Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to Crisis Assistance Ministry, 500 Spratt St., Charlotte, NC 28206.
