TAZEWELL, Va —
Frederick Martin Savage, 62, of Tazewell, Va. went home to be with the Lord on Nov. 7, 2012 after a hard fought battle with Alzheimer’s. He was born Nov. 5, 1950 at Welch, W.Va., the son of the late Luther and Helen Tilley Savage.
Fred was a U.S. Army Veteran and formerly a W.Va. State Trooper.
He is survived by his wife, Julie Savage, son, Richard Ollinger Jr. and wife Becky of Tennessee, daughters, Monica Carr and husband Keith of Tazewell, Va., and Wenderlyn Wall of Bluefield, W.Va. He has eight grandchildren. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
Funeral services will be held Sunday Nov. 11, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the Chafin Funeral Home Chapel in Delbarton, W.Va. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 6-9 p.m. Saturday evening.
