GREEN RIVER, Wyo. —
W. Steven Bolt, 56, of Green River, Wyoming, passed away at his home on Monday, October 29, 2012. A long time resident of Green River, Wyoming and former resident of Coalwood, West Virginia, Mr. Bolt died following a brief illness.
He was born on May 25, 1956 in Welch, West Virginia, the son of William and Reba Compton Bolt.
Mr. Bolt attended schools in Coalwood, West Virginia and was a 1975 graduate of the Big Creek High School.
He married the former Anita Swearingen in Ogden, Utah on June 25, 1983.
Mr. Bolt was employed at O.C.I. for thirty years as an underground miner. His passions included riding his Harley, camping, NASCAR and spending time with his family.
Survivors include his wife, Anita S. Bolt of Green River, Wyoming; one son, Steven Shawn Bolt and wife Alaina of Green River, Wyoming; his parents, William and Reba Bolt of Coalwood, West Virginia; two sisters, Debbie Bowman and husband Tim of Beckley, West Virginia and Jennifer Phillips and husband Kenny of Coalwood, West Virginia; sisters-in-law, Cezanne Brennan and husband Paul of Green River, Wyoming, Verleen Hadfield of Ogden, Utah and Kathy Lane and husband Richard of Cary, North Carolina; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, M.C. and Jacqueline Swearingen of Ogden, Utah; several nieces and nephews and several great-nieces and great-nephews also survive.
He was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents.
Following cremation, a visitation will take place from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Friday, November 2, 2012 at the Vase Flaming Gorge Chapel, 263 East Flaming Gorge Way, Green River, Wyoming.
