BLUEFIELD, Va. —
Frances Ann Blankenship Nelson, 74, of 178 Parsley St., Bluefield, Va., died Sunday, Sept. 9, 2012 at Bristol Regional Medical Center.
She was born in Bluefield, Va., and was the daughter of the late Olie Wyatt Blankenship and Ruby Stowers Blankenship. She attended church at the Falls Mills United Methodist Church, and was a graduate of Graham High School. She formerly worked for Bluefield Dry Cleaners, was secretary for Church Auto Sales, and her last employment was at Sealy Mattress Company in Bluefield, Va.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jacob George Nelson; brother, Martin Roger Blankenship; and the love of her life, Lester Albert Church.
She is survived by: Sister, Brenda Daniel and husband Eric of Bluefield, Va.; niece, Bobbie Howard and husband Cole and their children, Sean Myers and Isabella Howard of Grand Bay, Ala. Also, her three loving pets.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at the Dudley Memorial Chapel in Bluefield, Va. with the Rev. Raymond Klaiber officiating. Burial will follow in the Woodlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Bluewell.
Pallbearers will be Bobby Fields Sr., Jackie Graham, Robert Fields, Brian Rose, Charles Lewis Jr., and Byron Rose.
Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of services at the Dudley Memorial Mortuary in Bluefield, Va.
