Enfield O. “Ginger” Dick Jr.
PRINCETON — Enfield O. “Ginger” Dick Jr., 75, of Teresa Street, Princeton, died Monday afternoon, February 18, 2013.
Born April 22, 1937, at Ramp, he was the son of the late Enfield O. Dick Sr. and Annie F. Brown Dick.
Ginger had served with United States Navy and was a member of the Church of Christ at Pettry. He had worked for the Norfolk and Western Railroad, and retired from Norfolk Southern Railroad with 30 years of service. He was a member of the Brotherhood of Maintenance Way.
He loved his family, enjoyed being in the outdoors especially hunting and fishing. After retirement, he devoted much of his spare time to woodworking, having made numerous pieces of furniture for family and friends. Ginger enjoyed riding his four wheeler; he would ride a while, stop, talk a while, and then continue on riding.
Survivors include his loving devoted wife of 52 years Linda Sue Matherly Dick; three children Mark and wife Debra Dick, of Lerona, David and wife Diana Dick, of Pettry, and Anna Wysong, of Princeton. His grandchildren whom he adored and loved, Ginger and Andy, Jonnie and Tanner, Amy and Blake, Elizabeth, Ashlee and Cody. His nine great-grandchildren, Austin, Betheny, Skylar, Noah, TJ, Haiden, Mollie, Eli and Mason. His siblings, Tom Dick, of Shady Spring, Guy Dick and his wife Kay, of Pipestem, Jean Hardy, of Beeson. Some very close friends, Datise and Sue Reed, Kenneth and Ruby Matherly, and Robert and Beverly McManaway.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 22, 2013, from the Burns Wornal Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton with Jim Stanley officiating. Burial will follow in Resthaven Memorial Park Cemetery in Princeton with military honors given by the Mercer County veterans Council. Friends may visit with the family Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

The Dick family is being served by the Memorial Funeral Directory Cremation Center on the Athens Road in Princeton.
