Lee Wayne Nolley
PRINCETON — Lee Wayne Nolley, 77, of 122 Goldfinch Court in Princeton passed away into the arms of his loving Savior on Tuesday, February 19, 2013. Born in O'Toole, WV on December 25, 1935, he was the most precious Christmas present his parents, Armster and Maggie Britt Nolley could have received.
Wayne was a loving husband, father, son, and brother, and also a people lover. He loved singing and dancing. He was a member of two line dancing clubs, the Case Country Kickers and the Swinging Seniors. He loved karaoke and had a wonderful voice. He was a member of the Princeton Elks Club No. 1459 and Princeton Moose Lodge No. 1521. Wayne was also a member of the Lilly Grove Baptist Church where he sang in the choir for a while. He made the world a better place for each person he met during his life.
Wayne graduated from Northfork-Elkhorn High School in 1954 and joined the Air Force the same year. After leaving the Air Force he entered the sales department of the Jewel Tea Company and later became a sales representative for several insurance companies. His main career was with Peoples Life Insurance Company which later became Monumental Life Insurance Company. Being the people person he was, made him very successful in his career and created many lifelong friendships.
Wayne was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Pauline Nolley Syrotchen; and an infant son, Phillip Conner Nolley.
He is survived by his loving wife of fifty three years, Doris Jean Willoughby Nolley; one son, Eric Wayne Nolley; one daughter, Michele Leigh Nolley; two sisters, Doris “Dot” Davidson and husband Hobart “Bill”, and Shirley Boyd. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews; and his faithful canine companion, P.J.
Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m., Friday, February 22, 2013 at the George W. Seaver Chapel of Seaver Funeral Home in Princeton with the Rev. Bruce Woodson officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until the service hour on Friday. Honoring Wayne's wishes, following the service, his body will be cremated and final disposition will be private .
