PALM BAY, Fla. —
Pansy “Pam” Whittaker, 71, of Palm Bay Fla., formerly of Princeton, died Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2013 at her residence.
Pam was born in Mercer County on April 14, 1941, she was the daughter of the late John and Barbara Gore Blankenship. Pam was educated in Mercer County. She was a homemaker and of the Pentecostal faith. Pam will be remembered for the love of her dogs, her music and playing bingo.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jessie (Butch) Whittaker; one son, David Lockhart; along with six brothers, Arley (Little Joe), Biel, Jack, Lewis and Lee Blankenship; and one sister, Mary Martin.
She will be sadly missed by her three daughters, Trina Steele of Maryland, Lynn Lockhart of Fort Pierce Fla., and Tonya Sutphin of Princeton; two brothers, Sidney Blankenship and wife Frances of Lima, Ohio and John Blankenship and wife Sandi of Princeton her twin brother; three sisters, Verlie Chambers of the Zeigler Ill., Sarah Pettrey of Princeton, and Martha Dawley of Palm Bay Fla., who watched and cared for her daily; five grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
In keeping with her wishes, her body has been cremated.
A memorial service to celebrate the life of Pam Whittaker will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013 at the Oakvale Freewill Baptist Church in Oakvale with the Rev. Gene Pennington officiating.
Friends and family may call one hour prior to the services on Saturday at the church.
The Whittaker family is being served by the Memorial Funeral Directory Cremation Center on the Athens road in Princeton.
