PAYNESVILLE —
Maggie Lee Wagner Horn, age 94, Paynesville, passed from her earthly home to her heavenly one on Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2013 at the home of her daughter in Bluefield, Va.
Born July 8, 1918 at Paynesville, she was the daughter of the late Isom Cicero and Docia Virginia Wyatt Wagner. Maggie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother.
She married Luther Horn, son of Cam and Betty on June 14, 1933 and they became parents of seven children.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Luther; one son, Steve Horn in 2008 of Iaegar; two daughters, Jewell Horn Cook Ackley in 2007 of Paynesville and Violet Horn Mills Boothe in 2010 of Casa Grande, Ariz.; three sons-in-law, George H. Cook of Red House, James A Mills of Princeton, and James R. Brown of Bluefield, Va.; two daughters-in-law, Deborah Sue Davis Horn of Galax, Va. and June Baker Horn of Paynesville; two granddaughters, Crystal Horn Fanning of Iaegar and Karen Mills Topeka of Chesapeake, Ohio; one grandson, James A Mills Jr. of Princeton; two grandsons-in-law, Mark Fanning of Iaegar and Carson Topeka of Chesapeake, Ohio; three brothers, four sisters, four half- brothers and four half-sisters.
Survivors include one daughter, June Horn Brown of Bluefield, Va.; three sons, Huey Horn and wife Dorothy of Pineville, Roger Horn of Paynesville, and Randall Horn of Christiansburg, Va.; two sons-in-law, Roger Ackley of Paynesville, and Roger Boothe of Casa Grande, Ariz.; one daughter-in-law, Judy Horn of Iaegar; six granddaughters, eleven grandsons, twenty-nine great-grandchildren, seven great-great grandchildren, several dear nieces, nephews and other relatives; and a host of good friends, especially Ella Keen of Martinsville, Va.
Services for Maggie will be conducted at the Virginia Funeral Home Chapel on Slate Creek Road, Grundy, Va. on Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013 with family visitation beginning at 1 p.m., public visitation at 2 p.m. with the funeral service at 3 p.m. with Elder Darrell Mullins officiating and family members participating. Burial will follow at the CM Horn Memorial Cemetery, Brushy Ridge at Paynesville, WV.
Virginia Funeral Home of Grundy is in charge of arrangements.
