KELLYSVILLE —
James R. Thompson, 57, of Kellysville died Thursday, Jan. 24, 2013 at Princeton Community Hospital. Born July 24, 1955 in Princeton, he was the son of Hazel Miller Thompson of Whitt's Road, Kellysville and the late “Charlie Bob” Thompson.
He was a retired machine operator with Acme Wood Preserving, Inc. of Princeton with thirty-six years service. He was of the Baptist faith and had been a lifelong resident of the Kellysville area. James was an outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing as well as tending his garden. His four grandchildren were his greatest joy, watching them grown from infancy.
Additional survivors include his wife of forty years, Theresa Marie Whitlow Thompson of Kellysville; one son, Jimmy Wayne Thompson of Kellysville; one daughter, Deanna Radford and husband William Lee of Cheesy Creek; four grandchildren, Garrett Thompson, Ryan Thompson, Jacob Radford and Hannah Radford; three sisters, Patty Clemons and husband Glen, Bendy Moore and husband Jake all of Oakvale, and Sandy Combs and husband Jimmy of Cashmere; and two brothers, Richard S. Thompson of Ballard, and Jerry Lee Thompson and wife Cindy of Falls Mills, Va.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 27, 2013 at the G.E. Davis Chapel of Fredeking Funeral Service in Oakvale with Pastor Roger Hatfield officiating. Burial will follow at the New Zion Cemetery, Rt. 3, Princeton. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m., Saturday, January 26, 2013 (today).
