Joey William Stone, 22, of 2710 Bluemont Drive, Bluefield, WV, died Wednesday Jan. 16, 2013 in Bluefield.
Born March 5, 1990 in Tampa, Fla., he was the son of Joe and Sandy Stone of Bluefield. Joey was a graduate of Bluefield High School and was part the 2004 and 2007 State Championship football teams. He loved to bounty hunt, workout, ride motorcycles, have fun with friends; but most importantly, he loved his daughter, Aubrey. Joey was also a protective brother.
Joey was preceded in death by his grandfather, John Daniel Stone.
In addition to his parents, survivors include his daughter, Aubrey Faye Stone of Bluefield; two sisters, Whitney Stone Lovell and husband Mark of Princeton and Hayley Stone of Bluefield; one brother, Rick Murray and wife Dawnivee of Lakeland, Fla.; grandmothers, Jan Starling of Bluefield and Patricia Stone of Lakeland; nephews, Reece Murray and Ricky Murray; nieces Brooklyn Lovell and Riley Lovell; cousins, Brittany Wilkins, Brent Wilkins, Kenton Wilkins, Lauren Gray, Jana Mandish, Casey Stone, Tanner Stone, Savannah Stone and Brandon Boswell; aunts and uncles, Debbie Neal and companion Tony Watson of Princeton, Joey Starling and companion Vickie of Maryland, Vickie Mandish of Florida, Carrie Wilkins and husband Billy of Lakeland, Todd Stone and wife Denise of Jensen Beach, Fla., Lee Stone and wife Sherry of Lakeland, Tony Herd and wife Jane of Lakeland and Auntie Glenice; five great-aunts and three great-uncles.
The family will receive friends at Princeton Church of God on Saturday Jan. 26, 2013 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Funeral services will follow on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. from the Princeton Church of God with the Rev. Chris Nichols officiating.
Burial will be at Oak Hill Burial Park in Lakeland, Fla.
