GARY —
Martha Louise Anderson, age 90, of the McDowell Nursing and Rehab Center, Gary, formerly of Filbert, went to be with the Lord early Friday morning, January 18, 2013 at the nursing home after a long illness. Born July 7th, 1922 in Filbert, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Robert Crigger and Sanna Blevins Crigger.
She attended the Filbert United Methodist Church, was a homemaker, a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a life long resident of Filbert and was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Thomas Anderson Sr. on December 1st, 2008; two sisters, Margaret Foster and Mable Mutter.
She is survived by one daughter, Patricia Anderson of Orlando Fla.; two sons, Thomas Anderson Jr. and wife Jeannie of Bramwell, W.Va. and Norman Richard "Rick" Anderson and wife Glenna of Eckman, W.Va.; four grandchildren, Patricia Reed and husband Keith, Rachel Smith and husband Ronnie, Glen McCoy, and Stephanie Ray and husband William; four great-grandchildren, Thomas Keith Reed, Ronnie and Tyler Smith, and Cloey McCoy.
Funeral Service will be conducted Monday, January 21st, 2013 at 1 p.m. at the Widener Funeral Home Chapel in Northfork, W.Va. with the Rev. Michael Brooks Officiating. Burial will follow at the Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Princeton W.Va. Friends may call Monday at the Widener Funeral Home in Northfork from 12 noon until the hour of service.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
