MARIE —
Pauline “Polly” Francis Garten Dillon Sizemore, 69, of Marie, W.Va., went to be with the Lord on January 13, 2013. Born on December 14, 1943, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Kelly Monroe Dillon Sr., and her second husband Howard Edward Sizemore. She was the daughter of Pauline Fauster Garten and Dorsey Allen Garten of Marie, W.Va. She was also preceded in death by her stepchildren, Gary Sizemore and Jane Batten; and grandchildren, Catherine Batton and Bobby Brumitt.
She is survived by her siblings: One brother, Dorsey Allen Garten and his partner Brenda Vass; Mary Virginia Meadows and her husband Fred Meadows; and Carolyn Reba Dixon. She also leaves behind her two beloved daughters, Patricia Sue Dillon Meadows and her husband Jessie Lee Meadows as well as Mary Jane Dillon Grygiel and her husband Adam Edward Grygiel. Her grandchildren include Daniel Monroe Hurt, Francis Marie Hurt, Kayla Nicole Grygiel, and Adam Edward Grygiel Jr. She also leaves behind a great-granddaughter, Bryleigh Marie Hurt and a great-grandson on the way.
She also leaves behind her stepchildren, Wilma Hill and her children, Christopher and Melinda; Ronald Sizemore and his children Ronald Jr. and Johnny; Mary Kay McPeak and her children, Brandi, DJ, and Gary; Lisa Dale and her husband David and their children, David, Kari, and Timothy; Lynn Poore and her husband Kenneth; and Sandy Crawford and her husband Rodney.
Polly also leaves behind special nieces and nephews: Gracie Meadows and husband Johnny; Gary Meadows; Jeremy Garten and wife Carlie; Kenny Davis; and Jim Davis and wife Valery.
Polly also leaves behind another daughter that was taken in several years ago, Trish Michaels and her husband Reverend Daniel Michaels.
Polly also leaves behind many more friends and family, too many to name.
Polly was a proud parishioner of War Ridge Freewill Baptist Church for many years.
Funeral services will be held at Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors Chapel, 11:00 a.m., Thursday, January 17, 2013 with the Reverend Roger Brammer and the Reverend Daniel Michaels officiating. Burial will follow in the Orchard Community Cemetery. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral parlors.
Pallbearers include Paul “Buddy” Light, Harold Holland, Eric Shambelin, Mike Meadows, Richard McBride, Terry Crawford, and Josh Rutherford.
Arrangements are by the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors of Hinton.
