BLUEFIELD, Va. —
Paul Edward Scott, 83, of 308 Riverview Dr., Bluefield, Va., died Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2013 at his home.
He was born in Bluefield, Va. and was a son of the late Earle Edward Scott and Willie Bane Scott.
Paul was retired from Aratex Uniform Co. in Bluefield, Va. after 27 years of service and was the sales manager. Prior to that he had worked for the N & W Railroad for over eight years. He was a life-long member of the Ebenezer United Methodist Church and was a 50-year member of the Harman Lodge #222 A.F. & A.M.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Ann Wells; and his mother and father-in-law, Jesse and Ruby Neal.
He is survived by his wife, Frances G. Neal Scott; son, Kevin Scott and wife Chrissy of Springville, Va.; daughters, Melissa Danley of Bluefield, Va. and Kerri Jackson and husband Randy of Bluefield, Va.; brothers, Jim Scott and wife Wanda of Bluefield, Va., and Howard Scott and wife Jeanette of Peoria, Ariz., brother-in-law, Sam Wells of Bluefield, Va.; grandchildren, Jessima Frye and husband Greg, Anissa Alizer and Jackie Akers, Chandra Scott and husband Tim, Greg Hamm, Aaron Scott, Sharon Scott and Maddie Jackson; great-grandchildren, Paige and Kassidy Frye, Isaach Cundiff and Ryan Scott; his special cat, Candy and his pet squirrel, Buttercup; and special friends, Dr. Lee Smith, Dr. Phil Peterson and his buddies at Krogers.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Jan. 4, 2013 at 11 a.m. at the Dudley Memorial Chapel in Bluefield, Va. with Pastor Tony Ellis officiating. Entombment will follow in the Grandview Mausoleum with services conducted by the Harman Lodge #222 A.F. & A.M.
Pallbearers will be, Randy Jackson, Tim Scott, Greg Frye, Sam Rippe, Isaach Cundiff and B.J. Dishman. Honorary pallbearers will be Sam Wells, Jackie Akers and Bobby Dishman.
Friends may visit with the family today (Thursday), Jan. 3, 2013 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Southern WVA Animal League, P.O. Box 1853, Princeton, W. Va. 24740
