CEDAR BLUFF, Va. —
Frances Helton Alsbrook, age 82, of Cedar Bluff, Va., passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2013 at Golden Age Retirement Home, Claypool Hill, Va.
She was born in Tazewell County, Virginia and was the daughter of the late Lloyd and Lottie Clay Helton. She had worked as an LPN at the Mattie Williams Hospital in Richlands, Va. She was a lifelong resident of the Cedar Bluff area.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, Kenneth Isaac Alsbrook; one brother and three sisters.
Those who remain to carry on her spirit are her daughter, Alma Lowe of Richlands, Va., sons, Richard Alsbrook of Richlands, Va., Kenneth Alsbrook and wife Peggy of Richlands, Va., Lonnie Alsbrook of Richlands, Va., and Darrell Alsbrook of Richlands, Va.; sister, Delores Ellis and husband Fred of Princeton; grandchildren, Rick Alsbrook of Baptist Valley, Va., Vanessa Alsbrook of Baptist Valley, Va., Jessica Blankenship and husband Eddie of Kingsport, Tenn., Jason Alsbrook of Richlands, Va. Donita Presnell and husband Jeff, of Johnson City, Tenn., Travis Lowe and wife Jessi of Cedar Bluff, Va., Chad Lowe of Cedar Bluff, Va., Eric Alsbrook and wife Kathryn of Bristol, Tenn., and Jeremy Alsbrook of S.C.; and eleven great-grandchildren and a host of family and friends also survive her.
A graveside service for Frances Helton Alsbrook will be conducted Friday, Jan. 4, 2013 at 1 p.m. at the Greenhills Memory Gardens Mausoleum in Claypool Hill, Va. with the Rev. Jerry Barrett officiating. Interment will follow. Grandsons will be serving as pallbearers.
