BLUEFIELD —
Charles Michael (Mike) Thompson, age 54, of Bland Street, Bluefield, W.Va. died Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at Bluefield Regional Medical Center. Born March 4, 1959 in TipTop, Va., he was the son of the late Charles Warren Thompson and Viola Revels Thompson.
He was preceded in death by a brother, David Thompson.
Charles Michael Thompson worked previously at A'Mart and Ramey's in Tazewell, Va. until he was disabled. He attended Love Assembly Church in Tazewell, Va.
Charles loved to fish, be outdoors, and playing softball.
He leaves to cherish his memory, sisters, Leona Collette Hendricks of Princeton, W.Va., and Marsha Cleveland of Leesville, La.; brothers, William H. Thompson Jr. (Mary Ellen), Russell Thompson Sr. (Helen) of Cleveland, Ohio, Bobby L. Thompson (Karen) of Andersonville, Tenn., and Kevin Thompson of Winter Haven, Fla.; family, Barbara Woods, biological mother, sisters and brothers, Brenda (Clinton) Henry, Alma Gibson, Tammy Davis, Leona (David) Allen, Allison Charlton, Barry Vineyard, and Clinton.; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, March 10, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. at A.P. McConnell Funeral Home in Bluefield with visitation one hour prior to the service with the Reverend Donald Gibson officiating.
