GLENWOOD —
Jackie “Lena” Fortner Sabo, 41, of Glenwood, went to be with the Lord and her dear mother on Sunday, February 17, 2013 in Charleston. Born March 21, 1971 in Mullens, she was the daughter of the late Linda Carol Fortner.
In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by an infant sister, Linda Renee.
Lena attended and graduated from Bramwell High School in 1989. She was such a loving and happy mother to her beautiful children and loving husband. Lena truly enjoyed and looked forward to the many family get-togethers she and her large family planned throughout the year. She had a strong love for cats and always enjoyed a fresh cup of coffee while talking with family and friends. She especially enjoyed playing games and having fun with her children. She had a great voice and laughter that will forever be missed.
Lena made a donation of her kidneys and liver, helping three young people live a better life.
Left to cherish her memory include her husband of 12 years, Michael Sabo; three sons, Justin Coeburn of Midway and Austin Sabo and Brandon Sabo both of the home; two stepchildren, Justin Sabo and Bryanna Sabo; four sisters, Rhonda Blankenship of Princeton, Becky Fortner of Pipestem, Anna Evans and her husband Billy of Waxhaw, N.C. and Melissa Bolanos of Princeton; three brothers, Roger Fortner and his wife Tammy of Ft. Knox, Ky., Tim Fortner and his wife Sally of Bluefield and Edwin Bolanos of Princeton; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 21, 2013 at the Rowland H. Bailey Funeral Chapel of the Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home in Princeton with the Rev. Larry Dyer officiating. Interment will follow at the Oakwood Cemetery in Princeton.
Serving as pallbearers will be Justin Coeburn, Justin Sabo, Roger Fortner, Billy Evans and nephews, Micheal Fortner, Anthony Evans and Jim Mabry.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family at 310 Low Gap Rd., Princeton, WV 24740.
The family will receive friends Thursday, February 21, 2013 from 1:00 p.m. until service hour at the Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home in Princeton.
