KELLYSVILLE —
Irene Pendleton, 85, of Browns Road in Kellysville died Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2012 at Princeton Community Hospital. Born April 29, 1927 in Kellysville, she was the daughter of the late O. Garnett Brown and Martha Ollie Hill Brown.
She was a homemaker and a former employee of the Maidenform Corporation in Princeton. Irene was a member of the New Zion Regular Baptist Church and had been a lifelong resident of the Kellysville area.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three infant children; one grandson; two sisters, Geraldine Brown and Rebecca McGuire; and two brothers, Bennett Brown and Carlos Brown. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Survivors include her husband, Roy E. Pendleton of Kellysville; one son, Roy E. Pendleton Jr. and wife Linda of Browns Road in Kellysville; two grandsons, Walter Pendleton and wife Penny of Kellysville and Paul Pendleton and wife Paula of Princeton; one granddaughter, Pamela Adams and husband Chad of Kellysville; six great-grandchildren, Tonya Hoyle and husband Bruce, Stacey Pendleton, Kristen Justice and husband Calvin, Megan Cooper and husband Anthony, Sasha Pendleton, and Trent Pendleton; two great-great-grandchildren, Zachary Hoyle and Hannah Hoyle; four step-great-grandchildren; three step-great-great grandchildren; and two sisters-in-law, Redas Brown of Elgood Road and Christine Brown of Ripplemead, Va.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., today (Friday), Dec. 7, 2012 at the G.E. Davis Chapel of Fredeking Funeral Service in Oakvale with Pastor Roger Hatfield and Chris Roberts, youth pastor, officiating. Burial will follow at the New Zion Cemetery, Rt. 3, Princeton. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
