NORTH TAZEWELL, Va. —
Marian Gail Sparks, age 67, of North Tazewell, Va., passed away Sunday, December 16, 2012 at her home with her family by her side. Born May 3, 1945 in Tazewell County, Va., she was a daughter of the late Robert Lee Sparks and Beulah Boyd Sparks.
She devoted her life to care for her family and friends. She was always a servant to anyone in need.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Dewey Sparks and Ronnie Carl “Rabbit” Sparks.
Survivors include three brothers, Ivan “Tuck” Sparks of North Tazewell, Va., Bailey Ray Sparks of the home, and Lonnie L. Sparks and wife, Connie of North Tazewell, Va.; one sister, Bonnie Hagy and husband, Don of Pisgah, Va.; one niece, Rachel Sparks and two great-nieces, Hannah and Hayden all of North Tazewell, Va.; special friends and caregivers, Clara Baker and Debbie Lane; special sister-in-law, Rebecca Sparks of North Tazewell, Va.; and several cousins.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at Peery & St. Clair Funeral Home Chapel in Tazewell, Va. with the Reverend Henry Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Maplewood Cemetery in Tazewell, Va. Pallbearers will be Jim Graham, Donnie Linkous, Tony Stilwell, Danny Baker, Jeff Hall, and Danny Wright.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-9 p.m. Tuesday, December 18, 2012.
