Herman Luther Cline Sr., 84, of Litwar, W.Va., went home to be with the Lord on Monday, December 10, 2012 at his residence.
Herman was the son of the late Matthew and Barbara Robinette Cline. Herman was born March 17, 1928. He was a retired bus driver for McDowell County Schools where he drove a bus for 28 years. Herman was also a deacon at the Bethany Old Regular Baptist Church of Ikes Fork, W.Va. Herman Served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers: Hannibal, Dennis and Billy Cline; two sisters: Stella Trent and Elizabeth Cline.
Survivors include: His loving wife of 54 years, Shirley Cline of the home in Litwar, W.Va.; one daughter, Johnnie “Cline” Blankenship and husband Joey of Princeton, W.Va.; one son, Herman “Buckwheat” Cline and wife Brenda of Monroe County formerly of Litwar W.Va.; one granddaughter, Brittany Cline and companion Kasey Salyers of Litwar W.Va.; one sister, Edith Collins of Princeton W.Va. Also surviving is a host of family and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, December 13, 2012, at 12 noon, with Elder Edward Cline officiating at the Fanning Funeral Home Chapel in Iaeger, W.Va. Entombment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery in Bluewell, W.Va. Serving as pallbearers will be family and friends.
Friends may visit with the family at the Fanning Funeral Home Chapel in Iaeger, W.Va., Wednesday evening, December 12, 2012, from 6 to 9 p.m.
