Wanda Lee Rozzel Williams

GREENSBORO, N.C. — Wanda Lee Rozzel Williams, 66, of Greensboro, N.C., passed away at her home, Sunday, December 2, 2012 following a brief illness. Born February 3, 1946 in Bluefield, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Queen Anderson Rozzel and Theodore R. Rozzel Jr.

She was a 1964 graduate of Park Central High School. Wanda accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at the Greater Mt. Zion Pentecostal Church by Bishop Clarence E. Moore whom she loved dearly. She enjoyed contributing to the church pantry thru her food and monetary donations, table decorations, and etc. Her greatest joy was spending time with her granddaughter and family. She enjoyed sharing her home for family occasions and always had an open invitation for visitors. She was a very creative person who enjoyed creating arts and crafts projects with her husband and friend, Sylvia Watkins.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Archie D. Rozzel and Ronald M. Rozzel.

Survivors include her loving husband of 40 years, James Williams of Greensboro, N.C., daughter, Corrine Williams also of Greensboro, and granddaughter, Lundyn Elyse Gholson of the home; sisters, Deloris Rozzel French, Carol (Jessie) Simmons, Rebecca (Willie B. Jr.) Perry, and Joycelyn (Ronald) Finney; brother, Ronnie M. (Leeta) Rozzel all of Bluefield, W.Va.; sister-in-law, Felicia Williams (Joe) Simms, Ft. Washington, Md.; brothers-in-law, Fred Oliver, Darius (Jean) Oliver, Greensboro, N.C., Lucious (Lynn) Oliver, and Phillip (Janice) Oliver, Winston Salem, N.C.; aunts; Dorothy “Honey” Payne, Beckley, W.Va.,  Bessie Tynes Anderson,  Columbus, Ohio; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at noon, Thursday, December 6, 2012 at the Greater Mt. Zion Pentecostal Church, 104 Park St., Bluefield, W.Va. with Bishop Clarence E. Moore officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services. Interment will be at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton, W.Va.

Richardson Funeral Home of Bluefield is serving the family of Wanda Williams.
