WARDELL, Va. —
Portia Irene Wright, 60 of Wardell, Va. passed away Monday, Feb. 6, 2012 at her home. Born January 21, 1952 in Dickenson County, Va., she was a daughter of the late John and Nellie Parson Counts. She loved to do crafts and wood projects. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Bernice Matney; two brothers, Bobby Counts and Dale Counts.
She is survived by two sons, Kirk Wolfe and wife, Jodie of Cedar Bluff, Va. and Tony Wolfe and wife, Brittney of Dublin, Va.; three grandchildren, Nick Wolfe, Haleigh Wolfe and Laiken Wolfe; one brother, Ray Counts of Richlands, Va.; four sisters, Betty Milgram and husband, Darrell of Trammel, Va., Bonnie Kaney of Bristol, Va., and Wilma Wright of Richlands, Va., Diane Fahrbach and husband, Carl of Burkeville, Va.; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 10, 2012 at Peery & St. Clair Funeral Home Chapel in Tazewell, Va. with Pastor Barry Absher and Pastor Darrell Milgram officiating. Burial will follow at Grandview Memory Gardens in Bluefield, Va. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service on Friday, Feb. 10, 2012.
