BLUEFIELD —
Margaret A. Goodman, age 82, of Bluefield, W.Va., formerly of Burke's Garden, Va., died Sunday, January 27, 2013 at Bluefield Regional Medical Center in Bluefield, W.Va. Born May 28, 1930 at Burke's Garden, Va., she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Pearl Wilson Edwards.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles John Rhudy Sr.; second husband, Barnes Goodman; her son, Charles John Rhudy Jr.; one sister, Ida Brown; three brothers, Joseph Edwards Jr., Charles Edwards, and Guy Wilson.
She is survived by two daughters, Teresa Beavers and husband, Steve of Bluefield, Va. and Kathy Rhudy, with whom she shared her home in Bluefield, W.Va.; one sister, Florence Thomas of Virginia; five grandchildren, Christopher Rhudy, Christina McCarthy, Erin Beavers, Sheenna Short, and Elizabeth Franklin; nine great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6-9 p.m. Monday, January 28, 2013 at Peery & St. Clair Funeral Home in Tazewell, Va.
Graveside services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at the Central Church Cemetery in Burke's Garden, Va. Relatives and friends will serve as pallbearers. Those planning to attend the graveside service may meet at the funeral home by 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
