Lilly Deane Miller Jackson, age 67, of Lindside, passed away Thursday, Jan. 3, 2013 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital, Roanoke, Va.
Born July 6, 1945 at Orchard, she was the daughter of the late Arthur Dean “A.D.” and Sylvia Campbell Miller. Lilly was a member of the Rock Camp United Methodist Church where she was part of the Rock Camp U.M.C. Women. She was also a member of the Wikel Ruritan Club, Woodmen of the World, Indian Creek Community Club and the Extension Homemakers Club.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Thomas Jackson; two infant daughters, Pamela Lynn and Patricia Dawn Jackson; and two sisters, Mary Haynes and Diane Fleshman.
Survivors include one daughter, Cindy Eaton and husband Billy of Lindside; one brother, John Miller and wife India of Princeton; three grandchildren, Callista, Carmen and Adam Eaton all of Lindside; uncle, Mark Miller and wife Frances of Oak Hill; and several extended family members, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 6, 2013 at the Broyles-Shrewsbury Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Gene Fullen officiating. Burial will follow in the Sunrise Memorial Gardens, Lindside. Friends may call from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., today (Saturday), Jan. 5, 2013 at the funeral home.
