SPRINGVILLE, Va. —
Ruth Dillman Barnhill, 93, of Springville, Va., passed away on Monday, Aug. 22, 2011 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital. She was born in Falls Mills, Va. and was a daughter of the late Jacob Dillman and Pinkie Lambert Dillman.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Clayton Barnhill; daughter, Danita Lynn Barnhill; sisters, Pearl Ellis, Iva Bennett, Cinda Dillman, Frances Phillips, Cora Perdue, Edna Booth, and Ada Busick; and brothers, Ira Dillman, Fred Dillman, Frazier Dillman, Lesta Dillman, Melvin Dillman, and Jacob Dillman Jr. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
She is survived by a daughter, Lana Barnhill Moore, Springville, Va.; granddaughters, Mandy Lowe and husband Daniel, Amber Tabor and husband Mark; great-grandchildren, Savannah Wood, Lane Wood, Kellan Tabor, Landon Tabor and Jackson Tabor; special niece, Sue Ellen Tepper and husband Stanley, Hedgesville, W.Va.; and many, many other nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Aug. 25, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Dudley Memorial Chapel in Bluefield, Va. with Pastor Steve Branch officiating. Burial will follow in the Grandview Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be Mark Tabor, Daniel Lowe, David Kinder, Chad Lambert, Bobby Lambert and Warren Evans. Friends may visit with the family today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
