BLUEFIELD —
Gary Richard Lynch, 54, went to be with the Lord on November 09, 2012 at his residence on Lorton Lick Road where he resided for the past 20 years after suffering from a long illness.
Mr. Lynch was born on July 10, 1958 in Mercer County, West Virginia to Edna Mae “Bootsie” Tooley Lynch of Bluefield, W.Va. and the late Thomas Richard Lynch. He was a graduate of Bluefield High School. Gary worked most of his life at various places, the last being Larry Taylor Construction before becoming disabled. Gary always loved to work, provide and see that things got done. Many will miss and love him.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Clyde and Virgie Lynch; maternal grandparents, Bob and Bertha Poore; and one granddaughter, Aisha Raechelle Lynch.
Survivors include: His one and only child: Linnea Lynch of the home; mother: Edna Mae “Bootsie” Tooley Lynch Bluefield, W.Va.; two sisters: Anita Fay Conley and husband James of Montcalm, W.Va., Karen Rae May and husband Timothy of Bluewell, W.Va.; five beautiful grandsons: T.J. Smith, Michael Price, Zacharey Lynch, Isaac Lynch and Jalin Lynch; two nieces: Kimberly Clower and Heather Lynch; two nephews: Gabriel Hunter and Justin May along with several great-nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his long time friend, companion, and former wife, Norma Hall.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 15, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home, 3431 Coal Heritage Road in Bluewell with the Rev. Larry Roberts and the Rev. Teddy Warden officiating. Friends may call on Wednesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
