PRINCETON —
Rosa Lee Widener Cline, 90, of Princeton, died Thursday, March 14, 2013 at her home. Born September 25, 1922 at Dott, she was the daughter of the late O.J. Widener and Nellie Love Sigmon Widener.
Mrs. Cline was a member of the Kee Street United Methodist Church in Princeton for 65 years. She worked at Maidenform in Princeton for 20 years. She was active in scouts, MYF, 4-H and the Ever Ready Sunday School Class. She received an award for Special Membership in United Methodist Women by The Women's Division of the Board of Global Ministries of the United Methodist Church. She was an avid quilter all her life and taught everyone who asked for help. She loved music and the Lord all her life. She would hum hymns she loved. She loved her family, was a great wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and a great friend to all who knew her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Fred Cline Jr.; three sisters, Frances Harloe, Hazel Monk and Christine Lytton; one brother, Oscar DeWitt Widener; a daughter-in-law, Eunice Cline; and an aunt, Deemer Snead.
Survivors include three sons, Marvin F. Cline Jr. and his wife Sandy of Baltimore, Md., John W. Cline and his wife Judy of Woodstock, Ga. and Terry D. Cline of Lewisville, N.C.; one daughter, Brenda C. McKeever and her husband Marion of Blue Ridge, Va.; five sisters, Ethel Dalton of Princeton, Louise Monk of Princeton, Nellie White and her husband David of Princeton, Hallie Shumate and her husband Johnny of Glenlock, Ga. and Letha Catron and her husband Rob of Princeton; 10 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and caregivers, Karen, Tina, Dee and Betty.
Funeral services will be conducted at 5:00 p.m. Sunday, March 17, 2013 at the Rowland H. Bailey Funeral Chapel of the Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home in Princeton with the Rev. Meredith Gudger-Raines officiating.
A private interment will be at Resthaven Memorial Park in Princeton. Men of the church will serve as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Kee Street United Methodist Church, 311 Kee St., Princeton, WV 24740.
The family will receive friends Sunday, March 17, 2013 from 4:00 p.m. until service hour at the Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home in Princeton.
