PETERSTOWN —
Wanda “Jewell” Hines McDonald, age 87, of Peterstown, W.Va., passed away Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at the Riverview Nursing Home, Rich Creek, Va. Born September 17, 1925 at Rock Camp, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Rosser Fred and Hattie Thompson Hines.
Jewell was a member of the First Baptist Church of Rich Creek. She was also a member of the Peterstown Women’s Club, loved to play bridge, taught Sunday School and was a very dedicated Military Wife.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Herbert H. McDonald in 2011 and three brothers, Harold, Bobby and Brownie Hines.
Survivors include two daughters, Donna M. Lloyd and husband Dave of Narrows, Va. and Debbie Harper and husband Jimmy of Staunton, Va.; five grandchildren, Patrick Lloyd, Brooke L. McGlothlin and husband Cory, Courtney H. Burnett and husband Jimmy, Katie Hall and husband Chad and Michael Harper and wife Clare; seven great-grandchildren, Nathan St. Clair, Drew Lloyd, Max and Sam McGlothlin, Thor and Charlotte Hall and Brynn Burnett.
Funeral Services will be 12:00 noon, Saturday, March 16, 2013 at the First Baptist Church of Rich Creek with Pastor Jason Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Swope Cemetery, Lindside, W.Va. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church.
