TAZEWELL, Va. —
Helen Margaret Jones, 68, of Heritage Hall in Tazewell, Va., and formerly from Bluefield, Va., died Sunday, March 10, 2013 in Tazewell.
She was born in Bluefield and was the daughter of the late George Washington Jones and Nanette Rebecca Brinegar Jones.
She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Bluefield, a member of Senior Friends and the Red Hat Society. She was a former employee for General Instrument in Tazewell and retired from Kmart in Bluefield.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Richard Thomas Jones and a sister, Barbara Ann Davidson.
She is survived by a son, Ricky Jones and wife Sharon of Virginia; daughters, Rebecca Stiltner and husband Douglas, of Bland, Va., Wendy Brown and husband Michael, of Cedar Bluff, Va., Melissa Mills, of Tazewell, Va., Angela Pennington, of Pearisburg, Va.; brother, Timmy Jones of Bluefield, W.Va.; sister, Sue Ellen West, of Winston-Salem, N.C.; aunt, Helen Brinegar, of Winston-Salem, N.C.; 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Thursday, March 14, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at the Dudley Memorial Chapel in Bluefield, Va., with Pastor Gary Jakes officiating. Entombment followed in the Woodlawn Mausoleum in Bluewell. Family members served as pallbearers.
Friends visited with the family on Thursday from 1:00 p.m. until hour of services.
