PRINCETON —
Richard Salem Sayer, 65, of Miracle Lane, Princeton, died peacefully Monday evening, Aug. 27, 2012 at Princeton Community Hospital. Born Jan. 30, 1947, at Welch, he was the son of the late Assad Salem Sayer and Margaret Borsh Sayer. Richard was a graduate of Iaeger High School and had attended Concord College. Richard was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose, Lodge 1521, Princeton, AF & AM Masonic Lodge 134 of Princeton and the Beni Keden Shrine Temple, Charleston. More than anything in this world, Richard loved his family, especially his grandchildren.
Survivors include his devoted and loving wife, Rita J. Sayer; his two daughters, Racine S. Stefancic and husband, Roger, Rachelle Richmond and husband, Dale; and his favorite people were his grandchildren, Steven Stefancic, Ali Stefancic, Andy Stefancic, Jeremy Richmond, and Lilli Richmond; his sister, Susanne Laverty; and nephew, Christopher Laverty; a host of nieces and nephews; brother-in-law, Lowell Jones; and sister-in-law, Joy Walls and her husband, Vaughn; and his extended family, Dr. Abdul R. Piracha and his staff.
A service to celebrate the life of Richard Sayer will be held at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday (today) from the Burns Wornal Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton with Pastor's Arble Morgan, Don Morgan and Issa Sayar. The family has honored Richard's request, his body had been cremated.
A time of sharing and gathering will be held Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. until the service hour.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts can be made to Make-A-Wish, 1031 Quarrier Street, Suite No. 401, Charleston, WV 25301.
The Sayer family is being served by the Memorial Funeral Directory & Cremation Center on the Athens Road in Princeton.
