NORTH TAZEWELL, Va. — Freddie Leo Comerose, 57, of North Tazewell, Va., formerly of Lashmeet, died Wednesday, March 17, 2010 at Tazewell Community Hospital. Born April 1, 1952 at Bluefield, he was the son of Thelma Severt Comerose of Princeton and the late Freddie Comerose. Mr. Comerose was retired from Consolidated Coal Company after 36 years of service and was a member of the UMWA. He was of the Baptist faith and formerly attended the Kegley Baptist Church. He enjoyed restoring old cars and woodworking. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of 36 years, Mary (Kay) Williams Comerose; one daughter, Kristy Thompson and her husband Adam of Harrisonburg, Va.; one son, Jeffery Comerose and his wife Sara of Bridgewater, Va.; one grandson, Zachary Landon Comerose of Bridgewater, Va.; two sisters, Carolyn Cromer and her husband Dutch of Princeton and Carmen Rothert and her husband John of Roanoke, Va.; two brothers, Patrick Comerose and his wife Lois of Lashmeet and Terio Comerose and his wife Lisa of Richmond, Va. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 20, 2010 at the Rowland H. Bailey Funeral Chapel of the Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home in Princeton with Brother Larry Ratliff officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
