NORTH TAZEWELL, Va. —
Frederick Allen Boothe, age 84, of North Tazewell, Va., died Friday, November 16, 2012 at his home. Born May 31, 1928 in Tazewell County, Va., he was a son of the late Berkley and Alice Whitt Boothe.
Mr. Boothe was a retired coal miner. He loved to hunt and fish.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mamie Yvonne Boothe on August 12, 2012; two brothers, Walter Peery Boothe and Glen Boothe; four sisters, Blanch Boothe, Sarah Katherine “Tootsie” Crouse, Gladys Keith, and Manzie Hash.
He is survived by two sons, Michael Boothe and Steven Boothe of North Tazewell, Va.; one sister, Ruth Thomas of Dallas, Ga.; two grandchildren, Jacquelyn Boothe and Chasity Hagy; four great-grandchildren, Isyah, Lauren, Keyshawn, and Destiny.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at Peery & St. Clair Funeral Home Chapel in Tazewell, Va. with the Reverend Tommy Harman officiating. Burial will follow at Maplewood Cemetery in Tazewell, Va. Pallbearers will be Bob Horn, John Cyphers, Michael Nowlin, Isyah Hagy, Jeff Beavers, and Josh Hilbert.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.
