NEWBERRY, Mich —
Former Nemours, West Virginia resident, Vicie I. Eskut, 87, of Newberry, died Sunday morning, January 27, 2013 at Golden Leaves Living Center in Newberry, Michigan.
Born November 6, 1925 in Pocahontas, Virginia, daughter of the late John and Della Mae (Ball) Lewis, Vicie was a devoted homemaker raising her family. Vicie resided in Nemours, W.Va. for several years and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Pocahontas, Va., serving in the church choir. Her hobbies and interests included cooking and gardening.
In addition to her parents, Vicie is preceded in death by her son, Paul Brewster and siblings, Cecil Lewis, Claude Lewis and Luther Lewis.
Survivors include her children: Dennis (Caroline) Brewster of Ann Arbor, Jeff (Terrie) Brewster of Higgins Lake, Rhonda (Bernard) Ash and Barb Birk all of Newberry; stepchildren: Katherine (Jake) Jacobson of Onstead, Judy Lubway of Southgate, Joanne (Bruce) Bostic of Nemours, W.Va. and Kelly (Gene) Saylers of Warren; grandchildren: Wendy O'Hare, Matthew (Beth) Birk, Katie Smith, Corey Ulis, Rob Brewster, Kyle Brewster and Alex Brewster; great-grandchildren: Hayley O'Hare, Autumn O'Hare, Livi Birk with two more great-grandchildren to be expected; several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law: Frances Lewis; sibling: Sue (Billy) Page of Lashmeet, W.Va.
Per her request, cremation services were accorded. Interment services will take place this summer at Grandview Memory Gardens in Bluefield, Va.
Memorials may be directed to the First Baptist Church in Pocahontas, Va. or the Ruritan Club in Nemours, W.Va. in memory of Vicie I. Eskut.
