CEDAR BLUFF, Va. —
Callie Ann Stevenson Cole, 74 years of age, of Cedar Bluff, Va., passed away Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2013 in Holston Valley Medical Center, Kingsport, Tenn. Born Nov. 29, 1938 in Jolo, she was the daughter of the late William McKenly Stevenson and Mattie Linda Clifton Stevenson.
She enjoyed working with her flowers and loved talking on the phone and spending most of her time with her grandchildren. She was a former employee of Flowers Bakery of Keen Mountain, Va. and was of the Pentecostal Holiness faith. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt.
In addition to her parents, William McKenly Stevenson and Mattie Linda Clifton Stevenson, she was preceded in death by one son, Charles Randall Cole; and six brothers, Billy, Riddle, Coburn, Tivis, Homer and Charles Stevenson.
Survivors include her loving husband of 56 years, Victor Amos Cole of Pilgrims, Knob, Va.; daughters, Debbie Ann Allen and husband John of Grundy, Va., Donna Mutter and husband Russell of Oakwood, Va.; sons, Jackie Cole and wife Janet of Martinsville, Va., Victor Eugene Cole of Pilgrims Knob, Va., Gregory Wayne Cole and wife Lynn of Pounding Mill, Va.; and sisters, Elsie Hatley of California, Bonnie Click of Tennessee, Nancy Warrenfeltz of Alabama, Theodosia Wolford of Ohio, Betty Stevenson of Florida.
She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Kristie Brewster, Allen Lester, Brandon Harris, Randy Cole, Courtney Cole, Jonathan Lester and Chase Cole; three great-grandchildren, Travis Brewster, Kimberly Brewster and Cassidy Lester; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Callie Ann Stevenson Cole will be conducted at the Shortridge-Ramey Funeral Home Chapel at Keen Mountain, Va., Friday, Jan. 25, 2013 at 11 a.m. with Reverends Jack Ward and Troy Lester officiating. Burial will follow in the Cole Cemetery at Keen Mountain, Va.
Active pallbearers will be her family and friends. Honorary pallbearers will be her grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the Shortridge-Ramey Funeral Home Chapel at Keen Mountain, Va., today (Thursday), Jan. 24, 2013 after 6 p.m. with evening services at 7 p.m.
