Frank Ryan Gravely

CASHMERE — Frank Ryan Gravely, age 74, of Cashmere, W.Va., went to be with the Lord peacefully in his sleep on Tuesday, January 8, 2013 following a long illness, surrounded by his loved ones. Born September 27, 1938 at Clayton, W.Va., he was the son of the late George Eugene and Nellie Naomi Atwell Gravely.

Frank was a heavy equipment operator for many years and was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Tammy Gravely and three brothers, William “Bill”, Ed and Teddy Gravely.

He is survived and memories cherished by his loving wife of 33 years, Rosa Mays Gravely; sons, Timothy Gravely and wife Angel of Cashmere, Darren Gravely, Frankie Gravely and wife Crystal, Ronnie Wentz and companion Alyson Robinson all of Charleston, W.Va.; daughters, Paula Wentz and companion Sam Salmons of Cashmere, W.Va., Candace Elswick of Charleston, W.Va., and Tracey Moore and husband Duck of Hunington, W.Va.; sisters, Mary Alice Cole and husband Ron of Charleston, Ruby Moore of Spencer, W.Va., Betty Withrow and Mary Carpenter both of Charleston, W.Va.; papaws boys, Hunter and Jerry Gravely, papaws girls, Taylor Wentz and Ashley Wentz, many, many other grandchildren and great-grandchildren, friends and family members who he loved.

Funeral services will be 7:00 p.m., Thursday, January 10, 2013 at the Broyles-Shrewsbury Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Earl Brewer officiating. Friends may call from 5:00 p.m. until time of the services Thursday.  Following Frank’s wishes, he will be cremated following the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations of sympathy be made to his wife to help with extensive medical bills. Donations can be mailed to: Rosa Gravely, HC 81 Box 8, Ballard, WV 24918.
