PRINCETON —
Mary E. Eckle, 76, of Princeton, died Friday, December 28, 2012 at Princeton Community Hospital. Born March 31, 1936 in Sandstone, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late H.J. Eckle and Edith Graham Eckle. She was a graduate of Sandstone High School and the Charleston School of Commerce. She also attended Concord College.
Mary was a self employed bookkeeper for over fifty years working for Hooten Equipment in Charleston, Allied Refrigeration in Green Valley, and last working at Pennington Equipment in Princeton. She was a member and former Treasurer of the Covenant Baptist Church in Princeton.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Lyle G. “Buck” Eckle. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Survivors include a sister-in-law, Juanita Eckle Campbell and husband Johnny of Hinton; one niece, Molly Savilla and husband Allen of Hurricane; one nephew, Charlie Maddy and wife Suzzan of Morefield; several cousins; special friend and caregiver, Clayton Hall; special friend, Joyce Ball, many friends and neighbors and her extended family on the fourth floor Oncology Department at Princeton Community Hospital.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 31, 2012, at the George W. Seaver Chapel of Seaver Funeral Home in Princeton with the Rev. Keith Howerton officiating. Burial will follow at the Greenbrier Burial Park in Hinton. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
