PEARISBURG, Va —
Richard “Ricky” Allan Dunn, age 58, of Pearisburg, Va., formerly of Peterstown, W.Va., passed away Monday, October 29, 2012 at his home. Born December 26, 1953 at Pearisburg, Va., he was the son of the late James Edward and Mildred Lorene Burke Dunn. Ricky was a U.S. Air Force Veteran and had worked as a Security Guard.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a half-brother, Jimmy “Buzzy” Suttle.
Survivors include two brothers, Roger Dunn and wife Pam of Narrows, Stevie Dunn and wife Jean of Peterstown, W.Va.; five sisters, Sue Martin of Narrows, Linda Thornhill and husband Gary, Teresa Grimmett and husband Jack all of Pearisburg, Va., and Sherry McCrady and Lisa Dunn both of Narrows, Va.; good friends, Roger and Anny Dowdy; several nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, November 2, 2012 at the Broyles-Shrewsbury Funeral Home, Peterstown, W.Va. with Barry Harper officiating. Burial will follow in the Peterstown Cemetery, Giles County, Va. with military rites by Pembroke No. 311, Narrows VFW No. 6000, Narrows No. 68, and Peterstown Rowe Jones No. 145. Friends may call from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, November 1, 2012 at the funeral home.
