PRINCETON —
Ella Virginia Sizemore, of Princeton, passed away resting in the arms of God, surrounded by all those who loved her deeply on October 20,2011.
Ella was born on March 3, 1957 in McDowell County, and for the last three years was fighting a battle for her life due to cancer. Her family, especially her two grandsons, were her reason for living. During the years that she was able to spend on this earth she become a blessing to all those she met, and her presence was a gift everyone will always be thankful for. Her personality and smile lit up a room and her memory will be instilled in hearts forever!
Ella is survived by her husband of 36 years, Ronald Dwane Sizemore of Princeton; her two daughters, Kayla Sizemore Harvey, husband Eric Harvey of Princeton, Kelly Sizemore Gadd, husband Jessie Gadd of Huntington; and two grandsons, Trent Sizemore and Collin Gadd; four sisters, Dorothy Lucas Elliott of Georgia, Linda Belcher, husband Thomas Belcher of Belcher Mountain, W.Va., Sandra mills, husband Benny Mills of Princeton, W.Va., Sharon Neitzel husband Larry Neitzel of Beckley, W.Va.; two brothers, David Blackburn of Ohio and Joseph Blackburn of High Point, N.C.; a mother and father-in-law, Edward and Barbara Sizemore of Bluewell, W.Va.; one brother-in-law, Dwight Sizemore, wife Brenda Sizemore of Princeton, W.Va.; three sisters-in-law, Joan Harshanyi, husband John Harshanyi of Princeton, W.Va., Sandy Counts and husband Rick Counts of Princeton, W.Va., Julia Peery husband Jesse Peery of North Carolina.
Ella was preceded in death by her mother and father, Lee and Wanda Blackburn; a brother, Frank Blackburn; and a brother-in-law, Randy Sizemore. She also had many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends that cherished her.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 24, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with Pastor Brad Puckett officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell where her family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Friends may call on Sunday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
