PRINCETON —
Nina Lou Radford, 66, of Princeton, died Friday, Feb. 17, 2012 at Princeton Community Hospital. Born March 25, 1945 at Princeton, she was the daughter of the late Edgar and Virginia Hartley.
Mrs. Radford was an employee of Joy Mining and Machinery in Bluefield, Va. for 17 years. She enjoyed playing music and singing. She and her two sisters, Lois Croy and Eula Hicks, sang in the gospel music group, The Hartley Sisters. She was a loving mother and grandmother and was a caring, generous person.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Ricky Hall; two sisters, Eula Hicks and Mae Shockley; and one brother, Ed Hartley, Jr.
Survivors include three sons, Matt Radford and his wife, Sara of Palm Coast, Fla., Dustin Radford of Princeton and Greg Syres of Christiansburg, Va.; one daughter, Kelli Barker of Princeton; three grandchildren, Shane Radford, Paige Radford and Jordan Cecil; and two sisters, Lois Croy and Ruth Lambert, both of Princeton.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 23, 2012 at the Rowland H. Bailey Funeral Chapel of the Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home in Princeton with the Reverend Larry Dyer officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton. Family will serve as pallbearers.
Friends may visit Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2012 from 6-8 p.m. at the Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home in Princeton.
