PRINCETON —
Jo Phillips Williams, 71, of Athens Road, Princeton, died peacefully at her residence on Monday, November 12, 2012. Our butterfly has flown to her heavenly home.
Born January 4, 1941, in McComas, she was the daughter of the late Reverend Kyle Phillips and Virginia Cloe Clower. She was the former owner of Granny's Boarding Care. She loved attending The Little Opry, senior bingo, and playing rook, where she spent time with her loving friends while telling jokes to make everyone laugh.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald LeRoy Williams, and two sisters, Nancy Carol and Shirley Higgins.
Jo will be greatly missed by a family that loved her dearly. She was the best Mommy. Survivors include four sons, LeRoy Lippencott and his wife Aleta of Princeton, Mark Lippencott and his wife Debbie of Princeton, Hank Williams and his wife April of Bluefield, Virginia and Lucky Williams of Princeton; two daughters, Penny Miles and her husband Craig of Princeton, and her loving caregiver for 15 years Ronda Pettrey and her husband Steve of Princeton and her adopted daughter, Debbie Boyles of Bluefield, West Virginia; 10 grandchildren, Aleaha, Russell, Mark and Justin Lippencott, Krystal Truman and her husband Jeremy, Dustin Miles, Jullee and DJ Pettrey, Ronizane and Rockford Williams; five great-grandchildren, Anthony, Alex and Bryson Truman, Zoe Blevins and Kara Baker. Also surviving are her stepmother, Virginia Phillips of Princeton, W.Va.; and five siblings, Dewey Phillips of Princeton, Agnes Deel of Spanishburg, Barbara Williams of Rock, Vick Phillips of Princeton and Debra Sparks of Princeton.
Funeral services will be conducted from the Burns Wornal Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road Princeton on Thursday, November 15, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Omar Burns officiating. Burial will follow in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday from 1:00 p.m. until the service hour.
The Williams family is being served by the Memorial Funeral Directory & Cremation Center on the Athens Road in Princeton, W.Va.
