TAZEWELL, Va. —
Virginia Mae Crigger, age 86 of Tazewell, Va. died Wednesday, November 07, 2012 at Wythe County Community Hospital in Wytheville, Va. Born October 10, 1926 in Kenvir, Ky., she was a daughter of the late William and Cleo Edwards Owens. She attended the Seventh Day Adventist Church. In earlier years, she worked at the Ammunitions Plant at Bristol during World War, II. Later, she worked at her mother's restaurant in Squire, W.Va. She was a homemaker who enjoyed collecting dolls.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Leslie Crigger; three sons, Don Crigger, Larry Crigger, and Gary Crigger; one brother, Bill Owens; two sisters, Luella Owens and Betty Brown.
She is survived by one son, Tobi Crigger and wife, Susie of Bland, Va.; one daughter, Shelia Dale Dotson and husband, David of Bluefield, W.Va.; one brother, Gene Sexson and wife, Bobbie of Castlewood, Va.; thirteen grandchildren, Tracy Crigger Elliot, Kaila Crigger, Joey Crigger, Valerie Borich, Christie Borich, Michelle Lockhart, Tammy Bogle, Mike Dale, Duane Dale, Joshua Crigger, Brittany Crigger, Matthew Crigger, and Mickale Crigger; eighteen great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, November 9, 2012 at Grandview Memory Gardens in Bluefield, Va. with Pastor Don Elswick officiating.
Peery & St. Clair Funeral Home of Tazewell, Va. is serving the Crigger family.
